Influential Storytelling Workshop – 4 Part

This workshop is designed for the senior or rising executive who needs a deeper dive on influential presentation storytelling. It is conducted in groups of 10 or less and can be scheduled over consecutive 2 days or spaced out over 3-4 days (preferred). Each part is 2.5 hours in length.

Part 1:  Presentation Storytelling and Critical Thinking Methodology: We’ll show you how once you understand this sequencing of thought, it will support the shortest or longest presentation you have to give. Immediately after learning the messaging hierarchy, you’ll be tasked with analyzing a talk for why it succeeds – or not.

Part 2:  Message Workshop: This session builds on the learnings from Part 1, but turns the stage over to the audience to begin to build a real presentation. You’ll walk away knowing what your governing and supporting messages are, that is if you are willing to accept the work that is harder than it seems.

Part 3:  Storytelling Executions: Visual Workshop and Story Examples. Only at this point will we begin to discuss the role of slides in your presentation. After a memorable session on how to build (and not build) a great slide to help a story resonate, we’ll review the power of “visual transport” and how to choose your examples. At this stage we’ll also review your final governing messages for your presentation.

Part 4:  Presentations: Pulling it all together, we’ll watch your final presentations while teaching everyone the tools to be a good listener and fair critic.
